Good News from the story of Gideon

Judges 6:15-16 He (Gideon) said to Him, "Please, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father's house." "But I will be with you," the Lord said to him."

Oh how we do overestimate what God expects from us and underestimate what God can do through us!  "But I will be with you."  The Lord is the one who closes the gap between our ability and whatever is God's will may be.  We should want it this way.  For we have been created for, saved for and deployed for God's glory.
